The Milestones Products Company Story

Jason Williams founded Milestones Products Co. in July 1995. As a father of a growing family, Jason had an interest in family heirlooms and keepsake crafts. He was particularly interested in finding unique ways to personalize everyday items. This led Jason to create the company's first product, the Milestones Stepping Stone Kit. The kit contained a specialty concrete mix, a square mold, mixing paddle, and design ideas for creating a personalized stepping stone. The stepping stone could be decorated with handprints, names, dates, or creative designs, with the main idea being to "Record Your Memories in Stone." The product was very successful, and soon Jason left his job as general manager of a sportswear wholesale company to run Milestones full time.

The Milestones Stepping Stone Kit is sold in a variety of outlets, including gift shops, garden centers, craft outlets, toy outlets, and mail order catalogs. Based on the success of this first product, Milestones has expanded over time to a full line of craft kits and craft supplies. Milestones currently sells several versions of the stepping stone kit, featuring reusable molds of various shapes and sizes, and creativity options including stone pigments, decorative rocks, glass, tiles, etc. Many of the materials found in Milestones kits, including most of the stone mixes and grouts, pigments and decorative accessories such as glass, tiles, shells, and natural stones, are also sold separately in component packets.

Milestones is committed to developing a growing family of unique, easy-to-do craft products for the home and garden. The company emphasizes crafts that are useful rather than simply decorative, and crafts that make great, personalized gifts.

Milestones has an administrative office in Redmond, WA and production facilities in AURORA, IL. Milestones products sell in the U.S., Canada, and a growing number of other countries.
